ENERGY, and the whole gamut of emotions. One of the most dynamic shows you'll ever experience, guaranteed!
The music of grammy-nominees THE LES BAXTER FACTOR (Desert Atlantis Records recording artists) is being enjoyed world-wide by thousands, thanks to radio and internet, making them a hot-ticket item everywhere. The band is comprised of-
Les Baxter - bandleader/bassist/composer/arranger/singer, who got his jazz start in Berlin, Germany while serving in the USAF as a Russian and German linguist. While there, his jazz band Tetra-Fusion opened for president Reagan's address to the Berliners. He's shared the stage with The Beach Boys, Ronnie Laws, Tower of Power, and has jammed live with Larry Coryell! His playing style is unique and moving, and something to be seen to fully appreciate!
Amochip Dabney - saxist, keyboardist, and multi-grammy-finalist, has performed with countless star acts including Sun-Ra, Cyril Neville, and The Nigerian All-Stars. Definitely a one-of-a-kind performer whose energy will leave you breathless!
RC Ratliff - guitarist extraordinaire, made his name by touring with Junior Walker and the All-Stars for over 13 years, and some of his work has been heard by many on Madonna's Desperately Seeking Susan soundtrack. His style is a delicious amalgam of gospel, blues, and jazz, and he can rock out with the best of them, too!
Steve Garb - drummer supreme, built his reputation for excellence in the New York City session and performance scene. His versatility afforded him the opportunity to work with countless greats, and he's on first call status with them all.
Kevin Robinson - percussionist unrivaled, has been a staple of the Los Angeles/Las Vegas/Tucson scene for decades, making him the perfect final thread of this tapestry being woven by Les.
Additional Booking Notes
A good rule of thumb is 5feetx5feet of space PER MUSICIAN HIRED, and calculated linearly, meaning a trio needs at least a 15feet wide by 5feet deep staging area.
Please contact Les for a comprehensive set list, and remember, we can tailor the show to YOUR needs.
