Overview
Lazy Daughter is an independent five-piece alternative/americana band from Ventura County. Songwriting and romantic duo Sophia Montano and Jack Keough are inspired by nostalgia and subversive play to write music that reflects their raw emotions and lived experiences. Our sound is evocative of an eclectic blend of artists from the Tedeschi Trucks Band, to Nirvana, Patsy Cline, and CSNY.
Seeing Lazy Daughter live promises folksy three-part harmonies and upright bass-driven rhythm, punctuated by soulful, jazz-informed guitar solos. Our setlists feature original music and unexpected re-imaginings of classic covers by Neil Young, ABBA, and the like.
