One of the busiest event harpists in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, Laurie has 30 years of experience providing music for all types of weddings and receptions around southern California. The harp is portable enough that she can play indoors or out, bringing romance and elegance to beach weddings and garden ceremonies.

What to expect
Laurie arrives early to set up and get tuned so by the time your guests arrive they are greeted by the sound of beautiful music wafting through the air. She can provide her own amplification when the venue requires it and can also add flute or violin to the mix.
Ask if she can play your favorite song - Laurie loves to play requests.
She provides free consultations and a written contract. Laurie has professional liability insurance (many venues require it).
About
Laurie Rasmussen has been playing the harp for over 30 years and was a top prize winner at the 2007 Lyon & Healy International Jazz and Pop Harpfest competition. As a performer she has toured across the US, Canada and Europe as a soloist and in collaboration with a variety of international Celtic musicians.
As a pedal harpist Laurie performs regularly with symphony orchestras, choirs, gypsy jazz bands and musical theatre.
She teaches private harp lessons at her Santa Barbara studio to students of all ages.
