I love to give the audience the opportunity to laugh and let go with my enthusiasm for creating fun! I bring an upbeat, clean comedy atmosphere, with various anecdotes of everyday life, presented in a storytelling delivery. I have many topics to choose from, that can be tailored to your event. I am always respectful of my audience and venue. My goal is to leave people feeling happy and relaxed and have a better day (or night!) ahead of them!!
Starting in the business world, I am an entertainer who has used my life experiences to transition into clean comedy and emceeing. I've performed throughout the Chicagoland area with notable appearances at Laugh Factory Chicago, Comedy Vault, Zanies Rosemont and private/corporate events. I have my own comedy special periodically at Comedy Vault Batavia. I have also performed at the Clean Comedy Challenge in Rhode Island. I've found great joy in providing happiness and health to others through comedy.
In addition to comedy, I have a demonstrated history of working in TV, film, radio, theater, commercial, news reporting and voiceover. My popular TV segment “Laurie’s Oratory Soapbox" was great fun, along with hosting "Tri-City Talkers-Contemporary, Conversations". TV roles include Chicago PD, national commercials, reporter for "It's News To Me" BATV. Also, recognized as the lead for my episodic TV Educational Yoga show, co-hosting live charity-telethons and numerous "healthy lifestyle" commercial ads in TV and print.
I live with my family in the Chicago suburbs. I am an Ambassador to the St Charles Chamber of Commerce. I am the founder of Going To My Happy Place Yoga, instructing for 23 yrs and of course, the founder of Laurie Milbourn Comedy!!
