About
Lauren Schwab is a new independent singer/songwriter hailing from Colorado. Her works are inspired by the human experience. Schwab started writing songs at the young of 10 on nothing but Microsoft Word and Garageband. Since then, Lauren has upgraded to a fully functional recording system in the comforts on her cozy, Colorado home.
Schwab's foot in the door to the music industry was with her 2017 debut album 'As Far as the Stars.' This was then followed by a single later on in 2017 titled 'Keep It Together.' The single can also be found on her upcoming sophomore album 'Human Emotions' which is set to drop in late June.
At 18 years of age, Lauren is gearing up to further study music composition at Metropolitan State University of Denver in the Fall of 2019.

Influences and inspiration
My biggest influences would have to be Imagine Dragons, Lindsey Stirling, and AJR. An odd combination, right? Imagine Dragons actually inspired me to become a songwriter. Their passion for their music always inspired me as I was learning the ropes of songwriting. Lindsey Stirling inspired me to continue to play the violin and viola. I had begun to fall out of love with the two instruments, but stumbling upon her music showed me that I wasn't putting time and effort into nothing. AJR has inspired me to speak my truth and to always write what's true to me. As a very small act, it's hard to not want to write a song for the sake of going viral. They've taught me that going viral isn't the only way to be fulfilled as a musical act. Staying true to yourself and your message is the best way of going about fulfilling your career.
