Overview
I am a classically trained pianist and violinist with nearly 15 years of playing experience in classical, church, and entertainment settings. I recently completed a degree in piano performance at Missouri State University, and have been a member of the University Symphony Orchestra for three years. Additionally, I have toured with the Nashville based violin group Southern Suzuki Strings in Hawaii, Italy, and more. I maintain an active teaching studio and have nearly a decade of teaching experience.

About
Lauren Jackson is a recent graduate of Missouri State University, where she completed a Piano Performance major under Dr. Wei Han Su (RCM, Peabody). Additionally, she has studied carillon with Dr. Jeremy Chesman (U Mich, Royal Carillon School) since her sophomore year. She also completed a bachelor's in biology (pre-medical) with a chemistry minor.
Lauren began her musical career at the age of three, starting with Suzuki violin lessons. By the age of 5, she had added piano lessons with her mother and continued these lessons throughout elementary, middle, and high school. During high school, Lauren had the opportunity to participate in several area piano competitions, winning honorable mentions at MTNA State competitions, 2x winner of the Beverlie Roper Piano Competition, and District Winner of Federation of Music Clubs Festival. Studying under Korinne Lowe Hamblin, Lauren also successfully completed all ten Suzuki violin books, and has spent various summers at Suzuki Institutes, most recently Intermountain Suzuki Institute and Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute. Lauren was most recently awarded 1st prize in the McClure Piano Competition through National Federation of Music Clubs.
Recently, Lauren was a performer at the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America Congress at Concord University in June of 2024, and a guest recitalist at the North Central Regional Carillon Congress at Iowa State University. Starting in September of 2025, Lauren will pursue her Eindipploma (Final Diploma) at the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium.
