Laura Wallbank, Fiddler

I play many different styles of fiddle music, including Metis, Celtic, Old Time, Bluegrass, Contemporary, French Canadian, and more. I would love to play for your event! I usually perform with at least a guitar player as well, but I can also perform solo or a trio or quartet. I can cater my performance to your needs, whether that be a fiddle and guitar duo for a birthday party, or a full four piece band for a wedding. I can play for events such as a wedding, birthday party, senior home, old time dance, and more. Contact me if you have any questions!

Laura Wallbank is from Alberta, Canada, and she has a huge passion for the fiddle. She also teaches lessons, performs, and attends numerous fiddle camps and competitions in her area every year when possible. She plays a wide variety of styles, including but not limited to: Celtic, Metis, French Canadian, Old Time, Bluegrass, and many more.

Laura started playing classical violin when she was 11 years old, and has never turned back. Her teacher decided to teach her a few fiddle tunes, and she fell in love! Sadly, she did have to switch teachers since her teacher at the moment wasn't well versed in the fiddle style Laura wanted to pursue.

Laura has played at numerous venues and events, such as birthday parties, the Fiddler's Roost with Calvin Vollrath, Taste of Edmonton, Westbury Theatre and Citadel Theatre, and many more.

If your event requires us to be amplified (aka big room, hall, etc) we will need a couple of outlets to plug our sound system into. This will vary depending on the venue and amount of people playing, so please contact me and I can let you know what we need for your specific event.
