March 15, 2019I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but after reading Larry’s response to one of the families I serve above, I had to chime in.
We hired Larry under he pretense that his routine would be clean and non- offensive. We explained the event was for parents of children with disabilities and was being held in a church with church staff present. We confirmed he understood this several times. He assured us he had performed for benefits for Children's Hospital and churches before and could keep it clean. Because he didn’t have any videos online, we had him call into our office and “tryout” before we hired him and the bit he did for us on the phone was Nothing like what he delivered. The live version was awkward and uncomfortable from the start - so much so we had to end it abruptly. From fat people jokes, to making fun of disabilities, to talking about shacking up with his girlfriend, it was all inappropriate - maybe not for The Funny Bone (which I go to often - so I’m not a sensitive flower), but definitely for what we hired him for.
Aside from that, he forgot jokes and had to go back and read them off a paper, and didn’t read the tension and lack of laughter in the room at all.
Larry, I appreciate that you believe people are too sensitive these days, but you should also not misrepresent yourself and should deliver what is promised.
We did call and have this conversation with Larry personally and expressed our disappointment without an apology or concern at all from him. We did pay him the full amount we agreed on even though we ended early. Our mistake.

April 20, 2018The show was a flop. He made a joke about a fisherman with one arm to an audience of parents and caregivers of kids with disabilities. :(. The night was for building friendships and strengthening marriages and he made numerous negative jokes and comments about marriage and divorce. The jokes did not suite the audience he was hired to entertain. The room was silent but he kept on going.

I am so glad I got this, In twelve years of doing comedy, this is the first Negative review I have ever received. Someone told me that you can not be a comedian now because people are so sensitive. The fisherman is named Harold Simon, he was fishing with one arm, he told me that joke and told me I could use it. He overcome his disability with humor. I did jokes about my dating life as I was hired to do. I was approached by an audience member who asked me to do a stand-up for his mother's 50th wedding Anniversary, Who has hired me. Larry takes the time to go over everything that he will do on you stage before hand, you will know that he will be a success. His stand up is tried and true with many recommendations of people who has invited him back. He gets people involved and keeps them laughing. When he speaks he always starts off funny but when the time comes he stays on point and relates well with his audience.
Larry Has over 20 years public speaking under his belt. He started out as a sales trainer and a motivational speaker, he has developed into one of the top clean comedians today. When you put that together you have a top comedian, very funny motivational, sales and youth speakers going today. Larry has the ability to command the stage for an hour on any topic, leaving you Laughing out loud or hanging on his every word. Larry is Published with a series of books.
Larry has been doing this for awhile, so his needs are small. He needs a podium for some papers, a microphone that he can move through the audience with, and a good sound system.
Larry has always liked the comedians with clean acts. people who didn't compromise morals to make people laugh. Larry's kids taught him that people's future is worth his best efforts.
