November 2, 2019Perfect!
Lacie played at our little wedding and was a professional all around. She was punctual, communicative, polite, and of course a great talent. She went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and added so much to our special day. When we were running behind she even helped setup chairs. I'd recommend her to anyone, and definitely check out her original music too!

About
Lacie Carpenter is a Texas native but calls Nashville her home these days. She grew up singing and playing all types of music and instruments, but the violin and fiddle won out! Her classical violin background spurs on her creativeness and passion for country, Celtic, rock n roll, and bluegrass. Having graduated from Stephen F. Austin with her degree in Music Education/specialization in Violin Performance and a MS in Psychology-she teaches private lessons in many musical crafts, writing courses, psychology on a collegiate level, and performs globally. Lacie studied with Dr. Jennifer Dalmas, Dr. Isidor Saslav and Dr. Jane Saber.
With moves like "The Flying High" and "Fiddle on Back," she gives performances like no other. Just like the fine fiddlers before her, she keeps the sound honest and true to form yet has the ability to cut loose either on her 4 string acoustic or her 7 string fretted, Mark Wood Viper electric violin. It has been said that she is the "Female Doug Kershaw," and "The artist to watch out for."
Lacie is the winner of 12 East Texas Music Awards, but the ones she is most proud of are Fiddler Of The Year (phone number hidden)4,2016 and 2017. In 2015, Lacie was awarded ETX Bluegrass Act of the Year. She has also been blessed to be nominated for a Josie Award--Folk Song of the Year ("Clivus" 2016), and Bluegrass Artist of the Year (2017). In 2008, she was named “World Champion Fiddler” after competing with over 500 incredible fiddlers.
She has been able to grace the stage with greats such as Mark O'Connor, Mark Wood, Judy Hyman, Jonna Fitzgerald, Bruce Molsky, Isidor Saslav, Jerry Vandiver, and Jimmy Fortune. Lacie has opened for high-profile artists of many genres: Jimmy Fortune, The Cherryholmes, Mark O’Connor, Mark Wood, and Eileen Ivers. Having toured internationally as a classical violinist and fiddler in Austria, Germany, England, Ireland; she had the great honor of performing for the Arch-Bishop and Prime Minister Of Austria. Lacie was concert-master of the Led Zeppelin Symphony and lead singer in the Led Zeppelin Choir performing with Mark Wood, Laura Kaye, Chuck Bontrager, Joe Deninzon, and Tracy Silverman. She is the fiddler for hit-songwriter Jerry Vandiver and tours regularly. Lacie was part of nine symphonies and now is a soloist for many symphonic bands, choirs, and orchestras. She has recorded with Lauren Grant of the DFW area and you can purchase her record now. Look for David Allen's album where she recorded some awesome fiddle riffs in his wonderful original works. She does regular session work at Jay's Place Recording Studio for Gary Gentry (“The Ride.”) and Dan Hagan. Her vocal stylings are said to be "Traditional and rootsy yet eclectic in nature." Her songwriting “paints a picture of each story” and her song “Standing in the Rain,” is the number one requested song in Virginia.
Wayne Moss (Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Charlie McCoy, Chet Atkins) produced her first album, “Nothing is Real,” where she wrote all the music and arranged “Wayfaring Stranger”—which will be part of Moss’ new album coming soon.
These days, Lacie actively writes and co-writes with other songwriters and authors. She spends a lot of time mentoring others to fulfill their highest potential, performing with companies that utilize her musical and theatrical abilities, as well as thrilling audiences with her one-woman show.
She speaks internationally on global access to music education; most recently in Chengdu, China at the Music Cities Convention. Lacie also is available for music education consulting, performing, radio shows, and convention panels. Check her out at Winter NAMM 2020! She will be moderating, yet again, a spectacular panel.
