We are LA MARO SWING, a Los Angeles–based jazz ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist and tap dancer Ron Freund. We create tailored live music for private and corporate events, specializing in 1930s–40s swing, gypsy jazz, and bossa nova.
Our performances blend a refined sound with a chic, elegant aesthetic, bringing a timeless, sophisticated atmosphere to every occasion. Whether as a solo act, duo, or full ensemble, we adapt perfectly to suit your event’s style and energy.
With residencies at the Hollywood Roosevelt, Maybourne Beverly Hills, and Sunset Tower Hotel, we are known for elevating events with exceptional musicianship and style.

Hiring musicians is hard business. Whether you’re musically inclined or not, you don’t really know if someone is going to be the right “fit” for your tastes. Maybe you want a vibe that you can’t quite articulate, and maybe you’re nervous about sounding silly when trying to describe it. Ron makes all of that easy. If you are considering hiring La Maro Swing (Ron), then you are one step closer to an elevated experience for your guests that doesn’t require you to have all the answers. After a short conversation with Ron, he will have a great idea of what you are looking for and what you need. If you have specific requests, he’s on it. If you just need cocktail hour jazz that isn’t too in your face but is high quality, Ron is your man. In short, hiring Ron was very possibly the best thing we did on our wedding day.

Honest.
Affordable.
And one heck of a good musician. Highly recommend.
