Koko Watanabe

Koko played violin for our wedding at Stan Hywet and she was fantastic! Very responsive and made sure everything was perfect for our special day. I would highly recommend her.

For Valentine's Day Koko Watanabe & her accompanying cellist, Ryan Louie, performed as a special symphonic duo surprise for my parents in their home. What a great experience! To have two highly seasoned musicians of such caliber resulted in a very memorable experience, one much greater than I ever expected. We all enjoyed it so much! Ms. Wantanabe set up a fantastic set with varied arrangements from Russian and Hungarian composers to Elvis and the Carpenters, a 1800's minuet, spring & winter music, an excerpt from the opera Carmen, some Mozart(A Little Night Music), Bach, Amazing Grace, and more all presented in the perfect order. Her excellence at performing her craft, especially when observing & listening to her perform the most challenging pieces is so very apparent. We were in awe of her talent & her intensity. You could totally feel the range of emotions of each & every piece. She conveyed the musical meaning of each one perfectly along with her flawless play. To experience Koko's great talent up close and personal is something I can't really explain or convey. Koko made the set up for the surprise so easy and smooth. I wanted a duet and she suggested the addition of a cellist as the second and she obtained Ryan immediately. Their musical talents complimented each other so well resulting in such a complete There is no doubt that Koko's effort behind making her performances special and professional is only second to her violin expertise. Like I said, it was perfect, everything, from beginning to end. The set up process and the execution of the surprise was all so seamless. They both were so personable as well even giving a brief background behind each piece performed as they played which was greatly appreciated by my parents. They were willing to answer any questions we had and were so enjoyable to talk to as well as listen to with a few laughs thrown in. The experience was enjoyable for all of us. I have hired other professional musical performers in the past to play for my parents as a surprise. I am pushing 60 and my father thanked me repeatedly afterwards for this one and kept talking so much about all he enjoyed and how it was the best one of all. To point out just how impressed and thoroughly it was enjoyed, I can only say it this way, in my whole life I have never heard my father ever utter the the word "thanks" to anyone even once for anything.....EVER, much less repeatedly. If you are considering hiring a musical talent or debating between performers, Koko is definitely the one you need to choose. You will surely quickly realize you made the best choice that you ever could have! You will have the best there is with absolutely no concerns at all. She handles it all so effortlessly. The level of performance was such that if I could afford it, I would have very happily paid several times over for this experience without giving it a second thought. Koko's performance just cannot be fully understood without one experiencing it first hand. Koko, you and Ryan made my mom & dad's day, month, and year! And mine as well. The music was lovely and appropriate for my event. She showed up on time and was professional! Would recommend for any event, not just weddings.

She is a phenomenal violinist. She played for our ceremony and cocktail /reception. Her music was beautifully performed and was very professional. She has incredible talent and was very prepared with all the music we asked her to perform .She Ihas a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary music. Our guests and family were mesmerized by the music performed by KoKo and Nataliya. It was the perfect duo for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family !
