About
KlezFactor, Toronto's most unique sounding Klezmer-fusion ensemble, has been bringing their sound to the world since 2004. Their two albums, "The Golem of Bathurst Manor" (2005), and "Klezmachine" (2008) have both garnered rave reviews for their high levels of musicality, originality and seamless blending of musical styles.
KlezFactor has performed all over North America, including venues in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. They have been featured at festivals including the Ashkenaz Festival, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Junction Arts Festival and the Niagara Folk Arts Festival. Their music has been heard on the radio in 5 countries and on 4 continents, and members have appeared on the internationally syndicated television series "Kenny vs. Spenny."
Bandleader Mike Anklewicz formed KlezFactor: Europa while living in Berlin Germany and there, they played at several venues in Berlin and the rest of Germany.
KlezFactor is currently booking their Summer Tour 2015 in Europe with concerts lined up (or being finalized) in Germany, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
Additional booking notes
We range from only needing a small space to play in to requiring a reasonably large stage with backline.
If you're looking for an acoustic duo or trio, we only need a small area with enough room for an acoustic bass and two other musicians.
Moving up, we would require a power source for an electronic keyboard, amplifier and bass amplifier while the full band would require power for guitar amplifiers, space for a drum set and a full PA system.
