February 25, 2024I booked this dj for a Paint & Sip Birthday party from 8-10pm this past Saturday and so many things went wrong. The booking was from 8-10. When 7:45 rolled around and she wasn’t there setting up, we checked in via text. She told us that she thought that 8pm was her setup time. I’ve never been scheduled for a job and shown up to get ready for work at the scheduled time. So, that bothered me. Then, 8pm came and she was still nowhere to be found. She said that she’d be making it closer to 8:15. So, if 8pm was the setup time for a 2 hour booking, it would still be a late arrival. So, aside from making our business look unprofessional due to tardiness, no DJ mixing board and no laptop were present meaning transitions happened. So, we could’ve played the playlist provided by our guest all the same for $156 less. Additionally, she brought a guest that sat in front of the dj table awkwardly and that was not something that was discussed prior to the event. Imagine it’s your birthday party and not only did all of this take place, but when your wife asks for birthday shoutouts, she’s met with an unfriendly attitude. Then, decide if this is someone that you would want to book.

Thank you for your feedback. Your opinion is truly appreciated. Unfortunately there were some interesting facts that you chose to leave out. In reference to the tardiness Unfortunately there was an accident that evening and traffic was backed up in which I did communicate with your contact person that evening. Unfortunately car accidents that cause traffic jams are out of my control. In reference to my equipment I brought equipment with me that allowed me to be able to dj transitions happened because there were requests to continually stop the music to make announcements and for other things that one was not communicating before hand and two was not included in the price. I waa asked to do a favor at a price way lower than I charge and then to DJ and MC an event which was not agreed upon. When you pay for just Dj services that does not include MC services. Had that been discussed ahead of time the price would have been different and I have an MC on staff that would have been brought to the event with me. As far as an extra guest this event was held in a secluded location that I was not familiar with and as a female if a location does not look safe, yes I am going to have security. Looking over my reviews you will notice I have not had these issues with anyone else. Moving forward I suggest being open and honest with what you would like for your event and be willing to pay the actual price not try to get a discount. The birthday person that you reference actually gave compliments to me, and asked about future services so that was very intriguing that you say they were so upset.

July 14, 2021King Gollett showed up and out!! Everyone enjoyed his poetry plus he even had a singer perform with him that rocked the house. Awesome job!! Very much so prompt, professional, and patient since the event did not start on time.
