Alternative rock band in Kirksville, MO. Your go-to band for all occasions!
We aim to provide high-energy, popular-but-not-cliché music for events of all kinds. We use a wide variety of instruments (including ukulele, melodica, and synthesizer) in our performances, and our sound is a combination of each member's favorite genres (rock, pop, punk, ska, electronic, and more!)
Price Range: $200-$250 per hour (excluding expenses)
Gig Length: 15 - 45 minutes
Languages: English, Japanese (elementary/conversational)
What to Expect
We're a band of talented musicians, and we play lively music that people jump, sing, and dance to. However, we don't take ourselves too seriously, and like to play a lot of fun, spontaneous songs and jingles to entertain our listeners. Clients can expect punctuality, responsive communication, attention to detail, and flexibility (especially on the fly). We have our own rehearsed material, but will be happy to learn any music needed for the occasion.
Khan Queso consists of a ukulele-playing Hawaiian non-swimmer, a soft-spoken-but-over-the-top ska-loving guitarist, a steezy percussion-playing Quidditch captain, and a couple of homeschooled music nerds (one who plays multiple instruments and sings like nobody’s business and one with a synthesizer obsession):
Jeremie Amano - ukulele
Kevin Melter - lead guitar
Wren Piper - percussion
Lauren Klump - vocals/bass/keyboards/rhythm guitar
Tyler Acosta - vocals/keyboards
Additional Booking Notes
A sound system is always preferable, but we have all of our own equipment (including amps, mics, etc.) if the occasion calls for it. We'll need a performance space large enough to fit a drum kit and four other musicians. We don't (currently) have any lighting of our own.
