Highly Recommend!

I could not be more excited to write this review. Keltricity performed at our senior living community during our St. Patrick's Day celebrations and residents are still raving about their performance a week later! Their talent shines brightly and their impact will last long after their performance!
I am looking forward to having them back at our community very soon!

What to expect

Keltricity’s audience is presented with fresh musical perspectives to a respected tradition. In a typical one-hour set, the audience travels the Celtic World, from the 1700’s to modern-day music. They enjoy traditional Irish tunes such as “Gravel Walk” and “Come Haste to the Wedding”; Breton tune “Crested Hens”; French Canadian reels like “Mouth of the Tobique” and “Golden Wedding Reel”; and contemporary music such as "Caledonia" “Galway Girl”, “Scarlet Town” , " Swannanoa" and selections from the repertoire of Celtic harpist Loreena McKennitt. Keltricity pairs contemporary songs and traditional tunes to create a variety of textures within one piece. Examples of this include pairing the folk ballad, “Birds and Ships” (featuring two-part vocal harmonies), with a traditional jig, “Rosin the Bow”.

We take the opportunity to educate the audience about the history of the music and the instruments used. For example, a journey through Irish immigration from the motherland to French Canada to Louisiana gets us finally to Cajun country and the song, “Living in Babylon” – a stretch, but still part of the Celtic World. Keltricity is always looking for creative and engaging ways to present the genre. Themed concerts have been created for Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, and special venues.
