Movie Theater Powerhouse

While December was the last time K.C. was booked for our variety show in a local independent movie theater, it was also the third. Whether she was lugging a keyboard in a broken carrying case or simply futzing with backing tracks she made for herself, there is no other person who I believe could use the acoustics of the theater to showcase the talent of their powerful vocals. K.C. is a fan-favorite of our audience and we are always excited to have her back!

So Good! We Hope They'll Be Back!

When we started Popcorn Poetry at the Pocono Cinema in East Stroudsburg, we knew we needed someone who'd fit our variety show we'd dubbed "The Muppet Show, but with people" and, boy-oh-boy, did KC Raniero fit. Watching the audience react to KC's vocals was exactly what we'd been hoping for! Original songs, keyboard/piano, natural charm AND she was a funny, too! Couldn't recommend KC enough!

About

Taking piano lessons and performing in musical theater productions at age 8, K.C.'s musical journey began early. She began studying classical vocal technique at age 14, and by 16, she was writing and performing her own songs, releasing her first EP, and immersing herself in the music scene.

Inspired by the high-energy, emotional depth of pop-punk and alternative artists like Paramore and My Chemical Romance, as well as the laid-back, atmospheric sounds of chillhop and coastal music scenes, she has a wide range of musical influences that shape her unique artistry. After college, determined to sharpen her artistry, K.C. challenged herself to write 100 songs in a year. She ended up writing 300—a creative burst that not only strengthened her songwriting but also led her to teach herself mixing, mastering, and production. Her hands-on approach and relentless creativity have led to the self-production of 24 EPs and 2 LPs, earning international radio play and a dedicated following.

K.C has an extensive background in live performance. She portrayed Amy Winehouse in Dead Superstars at FRIGID New York’s Día de los Muertos Festival, blending her theatrical expertise with her powerhouse vocals. As a full-time street performer, she honed her ability to captivate any crowd, and as a lead singer for The Metropolitan Players, a wedding and events band, she’s mastered a wide range of genres, making her a versatile and dynamic performer for any setting.

From street corners to off-Broadway stages, from intimate gigs to legendary venues like the Apollo Theater, K.C. brings a mix of raw emotion, technical skill, and fearless energy to every performance.

Additional booking notes

I bring my own keyboard to performances, and all I need is a place to plug it in. If there’s a real piano available, I’m more than happy to use that instead. For sound, I can play through my built-in speakers if amplification isn’t needed, but if the venue wants to amplify the sound, I’m happy to plug into a PA system. Other than that, I just need a microphone.

If you prefer a fully produced backing track for the performance, I only need a microphone and a Bluetooth speaker, and I’ll take care of the rest.

I’m flexible with set lengths. Whether you need a long, full set or a short performance, I’m comfortable either way. I've even street-performed for ten hours straight, so I’m very used to long gigs!

For Vocal & Songwriting Lessons:

Lesson Space: I offer lessons at Ripley Grier Studios in Manhattan or Pirate Studios in Brooklyn. If you’re interested in online lessons, I can teach remotely.
