Katie Keen started playing violin at 7 in her hometown of Hastings, England. At age 13, she began studying at the Royal College of Music Junior Department. In her years there, she played in multiple chamber groups and played in the Symphony Orchestra where she was coached by Cynthia Fleming, former concertmaster of the BBC Concert Orchestra.
In 2018, Katie was awarded a music scholarship to Battle Abbey School where she studied until she moved to the US in 2021. Katie has attended music courses including Interlochen and Pro Corda. She has played in masterclasses with Hai-Xin Wu (Detroit Symphony Orchestra), Martin Chalifour (LA Philharmonic), and regularly with Thomas Gould (Britten Sinfonia). Katie currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues her violin studies with Erica UzCa.
