October 1, 2023We had a great 7th Birthday party with Katfish Mermaid! All of the kids were surprised to see a Mermaid in the pool! She swam/played with them and answered all of their questions! She brought a special gift for the birthday girl. Would 100% recommend for a party! Katfish Mermaid was also very responsive to all of my questions before the party.

KatFish's tail is made of the highest quality materials available! With a realistic look, and feel, it is perfect for any type of event!
KatFish has been performing in choirs, and stage productions, since she was very young! This allows her to interact, answer questions, and improvise quickly! With a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, KatFish easily adapts to different age groups and audience types! This all makes it simple for KatFish to perform with adults and children!
Since events can be land or water based, there are plenty of options available to entertain your guests! Whether it's story time or nail painting for tiny humans; or an interactive photo op for the adults, dry land can be just as fun! Fin safety classes, free swims, or a more mobile interactive photo op; the water really captures the mermaid feel!
If available, I will be bring a Mermaid Wrangler (or two) of my own! If not, I would be ever so grateful for the assistance of a few strong helpers! It's never a dull moment when there is a mermaid around!

After going through an extremely traumatic experience, KatFish decided that she could no longer wait to do the things she wanted to do! So she came up with a plan and set it into motion! A thus, KatFish Mermaid was born!
Having backgrounds in performance and psychology, KatFish can adapt easily to any audience! This makes every event unique, and special for everyone attending! Together, we can make any get together fin-tastic!
KatFish also models and acts as a human! She started modeling in 2013 and has been acting since she was very young!

Nearly everyone is familiar with Splash and The Little Mermaid! Even Mr. Peabody and The Mermaid, Million Dollar Mermaid, and She Creature have influenced the imaginations of mer-lovers! Mermaids have symbolized beauty, strength, freedom, and mystery throughout the history of their stories being told! These things are very attractive to everyone, including children! Wanting to be seen as strong and beautiful, feel strong and confident!
After going through a life changing event, I have had to (and continue to) work on gaining back my physical strength and sense of self. Being KatFish may only be part of my life (I have multiple regular jobs as a human), but it has helped me get to a place where I am happier in my life. If I can show someone, adult or child, that anything is possible? If I can show that dreams do come true through hard work and commitment? If I can bring positivity and fun? Why would I not do it? Capturing that little bit of magic and imagination, even for a second, can change someone's day, or even their outlook on life. This may sound like a lot, but I have gotten some wonderful, heartfelt messages from the people I meet. They make it all worth it. Smiles, looks of confusion and excitement, a barrage of questions; they all make being a mermaid make sense. Some people just need a little time to escape into a place of wonder and fantasy. I am here to provide that opportunity. Making other people happy, is the most wonderful feeling.
Growing up a military brat, my parents instilled a sense of responsibility and love for others in our family. So, if I can show a little bit of love to the people who come to see me, I feel responsible to do so.
Making many of my accessories and tops on my own has become a form of relaxation. And a creative outlet. But, it is not easy. It is tedious and can be frustrating. But I love the end results. Some of them I make to sell, and seeing the joy on the faces of people that purchase them is amazing.
My influences come from my experiences, my family, and a little bit of imagination. They help me be a better person. And a better mermaid.
