Kat & Ned Sing Songs

Great harmonies and great songs. The vocal blend of Kat & Ned's voices is the main focus of the groups sound. Kat & Ned Sing Songs mostly plays as a duet. On occasion the group is augmented with upright bass, cello, mandolin and fiddle, as well as additional harmony vocals. They are seasoned professionals, good natured and flexible. Rates depend on travel expenses, length of performance, PA provided, time required and additional musicians as requested.

Kathryn Dambrino and Ned Henry first sang together at a wedding, by accident. Kat & Ned were separately asked to play a wedding, Kat to sing and Ned to play violin and guitar. On one of Kat's songs, Ned sang a harmony part. Both instantly recognized an incredible blend only found with family members. They decided that wedding couldn't be the end. After a few attempts at cover bands and other outings, Kat & Ned Sing Songs was born. KNSS focuses on Kat & Ned's harmonies supported by acoustic guitar.

Kat grew up in a musical family in Dubard, MS. Singing was a part of life. Heavily influenced by jazz and blues found around her Mississippi Delta home, Kat and her sister spent time singing and performing together at private parties, small gigs, weddings, and events.

Ned also grew up in a musical family in Macon, GA. Ned played the club and college circuit in the Southeast before moving to Austin, TX as a singer/songwriter. He eventually moved to Nashville where he played guitar with several indie acts, including a group with his two brothers, Brother Henry.

In the summer of 2022, Kat and Ned, started working together with focus. First they to put together two sets of acoustic cover songs. In the Fall, they started writing original material. Kat and Ned released an EP in the Spring of 2023 and a full length record in Fall 2023. All music is available on major music platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, etc.

Kat & Ned Sing Songs love to play, no matter the venue: music clubs, private events, brew pubs, outdoor concerts, yachts, any place is a good place for a show. They enjoy playing a mix of cover and originals, but are happy to play one or the other depending the situation. Kat & Ned try to play cover songs that people know, while leaning away from songs everyone has heard a million times. They are happy to learn new songs as requested or for special events.

We just need a crowd that loves to hear good music.
