Jonathan Kaplan as Jack Sparrow

Captain Jack walks in and the room shifts.

Movie-accurate costume, the voice, and the swagger of over 19 years in the boots. Guests get double-takes, charming conversation, and photographic proof they met the iconic pirate captain in the flesh! He'll read the room, work every age, and stay inside your vision, whether that is a grand entrance, in-character mixing & mingling, a meet and greet photo op, and beyond.

On your side, the process is straightforward. You share the date, the venue, and what you want the appearance to do. He prides himself on clear and concise communication and ensuring all the details are in place for his timely arrival. For most gigs he'll already be in costume (only select events require a changing room), and ready to make your event legendary!

Jonathan Kaplan is a Jack Sparrow impersonator based in historic St. Augustine, Florida. He has been bringing Captain Jack to life at events across the country since 2005.

What began as a love of Pirates of the Caribbean turned into more than 18 years of work on the look, the voice, and the swagger.

His dedication to the character earned him a feature on the At World’s End DVD, a stage with original cast members, and a meeting with Pirates of the Caribbean composer Hans Zimmer.

Jonathan Kaplan is an independent tribute performer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney, Jerry Bruckheimer, Johnny Depp, or any related entities.

For a majority of gigs, he arrives already in full-costume. For longer trips or engagements, he may ask for a private changing room.

Full costume gets hot, especially outside. Please have water available, and a shaded or indoor spot for a short break. On longer or outdoor events, plan on about 5 to 10 minutes every hour. For big outdoor events, that shaded spot is needed, not optional.
