Kaabi Kouyate

Griot, Musician, Singer and Composer renowned for his enchanting voice which has made him one of the mosts popular ambassadors of Guinean culture. His impressive knowledge of music and diverse musical influences have made it possible for him to transcend the limits of world music, recording and performing with among others, jazz greats Dee Dee Bridgewater, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Paris Big Band as well as French rap artists Rockin' Squat, Assassin and pop artist Inna Modja. His ability to compose and perform across genres makes him a modern day griot, spreading the message of peace, social and cultural consciousness in the tradition of the oral historians of old.
