July Sun

July Sun is the musical partnership of Helena Rose and Joey Brown, two Western North Carolina musicians with deep Appalachian roots. Helena grew up in Waynesville, and Joey in Asheville. After meeting through the national touring, Asheville based band, Holler Choir, their shared love of Appalachian music, close harmony, and traditional string-band playing grew into both a musical and personal partnership. Blending Appalachian tradition with Americana influences and heartfelt songwriting, July Sun creates warm, authentic performances with clawhammer banjo, rhythmic guitar, and harmonies that bring people together and leave a lasting impression at any festival, wedding, or private event.
