Overview
I am returning to the Gigsalad community after a long hiatus! I offer services as a solo vocalist or with piano accompaniment.
Solo performer- Looking for a performer to sing acapella at your wedding ceremony or memorial service? I can sing classical musical, folk, and pop. I am happy to learn a new song that is special to you, just give me enough notice.
Piano and Vocalist- Stefan is an outstanding pianist. Together we have a playlist of pop, folk, jazz, golden-age musical theatre, and Christmas songs. We both love performing, learning new music, and engaging with a crowd. We have very high standards, and strive to exceed your expectations in both professionalism and performance.

Julia wrote a hilarious and somehow also extremely touching song about my husband and my relationship that she preformed for our family and friends around a campfire following our rehearsal dinner at our wedding weekend. It was definitely my favorite part of the evening! Julia worked with me to learn about our love for each other, as well as our funnier moments and idiosyncrasies, to write an original song that perfectly summed up the unexpected, unorthodox, and amazing way our relationship started, grew, and blossomed into marriage. The song was both hilarious and beautiful, and captured perfectly how we felt about each other and how many of the other people we loved felt watching our relationship unfold. Everyone at the event thoroughly enjoyed the song, which was met with surprise, laughter, and even some eyes misting over. Everyone shared with me how much they enjoyed it and how talented she was both as a songwriter and singer/musician. It was more than I had hoped for, and one of the most memorable parts of the wedding weekend... I love Julia and her enormous talent!!

What to expect
If you choose to hire me as a performer, the process would go as follows:
SETLIST- Discuss set list duration and song options. Are there songs that aren't on my list that you would want me to perform? How long should I play? Do you want me to make an effort to engage with the audience or be easy-listening music in the background?
TRAVEL/LOCATION: Is the location indoor or outdoor? Is any equipment provided? Do I have easy access to power outlets?
CONTACT: Who is my main point of contact should there be an issue the day of the event?
Stefan and I enjoy what we do, are reliable, and will be where we need to be when we need to be there.
About
Julia is a classically, trained cross-over artist that can sing golden age musical theatre, pop, folk, and bossa-nova music. Julia is charismatic and engaging, and can adapt to whatever your event may require. Julia rejoined the Gigsalad community after a long hiatus due to covid, and looks forward to performing live again.
Stefan Paolini is a phenomenal pianist based in New York, NY. Stefan plays a variety of genre's exceptionally well, and is Julia's collaborator duo gigs. *
Additional booking notes
In order to perform, we need access to dry level space (at least 6ftx6ft), and access power outlets, and adequate lighting. Please let us know in advance if we will have access to any sound equipment. That's always a bonus if there is less for us to carry.
