What to expect

I'm a storyteller. I write songs or choose songs of other artists that tell stories to engage the audience. Whether the audience is a casual gathering or party, or a listening audience, I provide a varied and cohesive sound. My equipment is professional, and my performance is polished and focused on the audience. I respect my audience in my attire and language. I'm not a t-shirt and torn jeans performer with a sailor's vocabulary.

About

I'm a singer/songwriter. I play a mixture of original music with cover music. I am influenced by Carole King, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell - well, mostly singers from the 1970's, though good music from any era has been known to make its mark on me.

In my repertoire: Americana, Blues, Country, Folk, Mellow Rock and Jazz including various fusions of styles.

Mostly, I play guitar and sometimes that is enhanced with harmonica which I play for blues and more folk-oriented tunes. At times I may play the ukulele or banjo.

My music is quite eclectic. I can create a playlist that will enhance any event - within my genres, of course. I do not rap or perform hip hop.

I am extremely reliable. I show up on time and prepared to every event for which I'm hired. I do not perform in t-shirts and torn jeans and I do not use foul language.

I will bring my own sound equipment unless there is adequate equipment at the venue. I provide pretty much everything I need.

Additional booking notes

I bring pretty much everything I would need to the venue, except lighting. My equipment is of professional quality and can handle a medium sized venue I will take a break after 45 minutes of playing if I'm playing 2 hours. Otherwise, I will play from beginning to finish.

Set list

I generally do not take requests during the performance. I create a set list for the performance and each song is placed in a particular order, whether to tell a story or set a mood.

I prefer to create a specific set list for each performance, so it's best to inquire with details about the event.

Influences and inspiration

I'm a product of 60's folk and 70's mellow rock. The songs of other artists I choose to perform, whether current or vintage, reflect that influence. Carole King, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel... the list goes on.
