We hired Juan to play his beautiful music for our wedding ceremony. He was open to meeting with us early on in the planning to answer some questions we had about his music. Juan was all set up on time and played the most beautiful songs for the processional, recessional and cocktails. My guests truly enjoyed listening him play is guitar in such a tranquil setting. About
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Juan trained in classical and flamenco guitar with renowned teachers in Barcelona, Madrid and Jerez.
A consummate performer, he has worked as a soloist, accompanist and arranger with numerous artists in flamenco, jazz, Latin-American folklore and Eastern music, performing in Spain, UK, Chile and Canada and US. His music has been performed in the prestigious Palau de la Musica in Barcelona.
A Canada Council award supported professional research and study in flamenco guitar in Southern Spain, inspiring his first album 'Mimbre'. In 2013 Juan moved to Victoria, BC, where he teaches and performs regularly with members of "Alma de España Flamenco School".
