JQ Palms is a professional comedian, writer, musician, improviser, entertainer, emcee, and all-around versatile performer. She can perform clean material if necessary. She can host events, entertain a crowd with musical comedy, lead improv workshops for corporate events, produce comedy shows, and so much more. She's willing to travel and easy to work with.

JQ is a natural on the microphone. Using her vast improv skills and experience, she can easily handle an emcee position for any event, direct or lead any programming for a company event, and facilitate hosting an evening, all while keeping things light and funny and supportive. She can sprinkle in her own flavor of comedy when needed and highlight whatever or whomever the event is geared towards.
If entertainment is what you want, she is able to provide clean jokes if necessary, she has a repertoire of songs to perform, and can fill up to 60 minutes of comedy on her own if needed or necessary.
If an hour+ show is what you need, she can also produce a show with many of her very talented group of comedian friends. She has a long successful history of producing, hosting, and promoting comedy/variety shows and could easily bring an excellent, high-quality comedy show to your event.
Born into a musical family in Michigan, JQ Palms made her way down to New Orleans 10 years ago and found it to be the perfect city to blend her improv and comedy writing skills with her musical abilities on ukulele, piano, and melodica. She has performed all of the United States, opened for SNL alum Luke Null on several occasions, has headlined Hell Yes Fest and the New Orleans Comedy Festival, she's performed at Bayou Boogaloo Festival and Fete du Void, and she be at the Joy Theater on November 13th as part of the 10th anniversary show for Hell Yes Fest.
In addition to performing, she also teaches standup comedy and improv comedy in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, she produces shows all over the South, she is a main stage cast member of the weekly improv show Swamp City, and she'll be touring for the second time in 2024 in the Fat Tuesday Comedy Tour.
If JQ is performing with her ukulele, she can plug into any soundboard with a 1/4 inch cable. She also has her own mini amplifier that just requires access to an electrical outlet. She'll need a microphone with a stand, and can bring her own if needed.
If the event is in a large space and a sound system is required for volume (microphones, stands, monitors, amplifiers, etc. ) JQ can bring her own sound system for an additional cost.
