Joyful Noise Music

Add an air of elegance or musical fun to your event with live violin music! Although my training has been primarily classical, I enjoying playing a wide variety of genres best suited to each event. Whether you prefer the music of Bach and Mozart or Elvis and Whitney Houston, I can find the music to fit your style.

Megann Dawe began her music studies with piano and voice but adopted violin as her primary instrument at age 11. She attended the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where she studied under Paul Zafer, and has a master’s degree in violin performance from the University of Oregon, as well as a specialization in violin pedagogy. While in Oregon, she received teacher training under Shelley Rich, becoming an associate teacher at the Community Music Institute, and she performed with ensembles such as Orchestra NEXT, the Newport Symphony Orchestra, and the Eugene Symphony Chorus. Megann has attended several internationally acclaimed festivals, including the ARIA International Summer Academy, MasterWorks Festival, and Camp Musical des Laurentides in QC, Canada. In addition to the violin, she has had extensive training in choral music and conducting. Megann currently performs with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra, and Mana Music Hawaii. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, reading classical literature, and exploring nature through hiking.

No equipment is required. For larger outdoor events, a microphone (not provided through my services) is recommended.
