Joyful Noise Music

Add an air of elegance or musical fun to your event with live violin music! Although my training has been primarily classical, I enjoying playing a wide variety of genres best suited to each event. Whether you prefer the music of Bach and Mozart or Elvis and Whitney Houston, I can find the music to fit your style.

Megann Dawe is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a master’s degree in Violin Performance. She began her musical studies with piano and voice but adopted violin as her primary instrument at age 11. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where she studied Violin Pedagogy and Violin Performance under Paul Zafer. While at Wheaton College, Megann was selected as a student Honors conductor and had the unique opportunity to work closely with the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra and conduct it in concert. In addition to the violin, she has had extensive training in choral music and has learned under directors such as John Trotter and Jerry Blackstone. Megann has attended several internationally acclaimed festivals, including the ARIA International Summer Academy, MasterWorks Festival, and Camp Musical des Laurentides in QC, Canada. Currently, Megann performs with the Eugene Ballet as a member of Orchestra NEXT and is a substitute violinist for the Newport Symphony. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, reading classical literature, and exploring nature through hiking.

No equipment is required. For larger outdoor events, a microphone (not provided through my services) is recommended.
