I provide live piano music for weddings, cocktail hours, private parties, corporate events, ceremonies, receptions, memorial services, holiday gatherings, and more throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. My background is primarily in classical piano, but my repertoire also includes jazz standards, cocktail piano, sacred music, film music, contemporary favorites, and light popular selections.

Whether you are looking for refined background music, a formal classical program, or personalized selections for a special occasion, I work closely with clients to create the right atmosphere for the event. I am happy to accommodate special song requests when provided in advance.

I also frequently collaborate with singers and instrumentalists and am happy to discuss adding additional musicians for ceremonies or special performances.

I am a Chicago-based pianist, collaborative musician, and music educator with more than 20 years of experience at the piano and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. I work regularly as a solo and collaborative pianist, performing for weddings, private events, corporate gatherings, ceremonies, concerts, and church services throughout the Chicagoland area.

My musical background is rooted in classical training, but my repertoire is versatile and adaptable to a wide range of events. I perform classical music, jazz standards, cocktail piano, sacred and liturgical repertoire, ragtime, holiday music, film music, and contemporary favorites. I enjoy tailoring music to fit the tone of each occasion, whether that means elegant background music or featured performance moments.

I have extensive experience performing with singers, instrumentalists, choirs, and chamber ensembles, with collaborations that have taken me throughout the United States and internationally. I value musical flexibility and communication in ensemble settings and enjoy supporting performances that are expressive, cohesive, and well-prepared.

In addition to performing, I am an active music educator. In 2020, my wife, Lili, and I founded Uhe Piano and Voice Studio in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. Through our studio, we teach piano and voice lessons to students of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced musicians.

Whether for a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, corporate event, or private gathering, I aim to provide live piano music that is polished, tasteful, and responsive to the needs of each event.

I prefer to play on a piano/keyboard that is provided at the event, but I can bring my keyboard, PA system, and/or microphones, at an additional cost.

All I need for that is access to power for the keyboard; the PA system and mic's are portable and battery-powered.
