What to expect

When you book Joshua, you can expect a polished, stress-free experience from start to finish. He'll work with you in advance to select repertoire that fits your event's mood and timeline — no guesswork on your end. He arrives early, sets up quietly, and reads the room, adjusting his playing to match the energy as the event unfolds.
Clients can expect a versatile setlist drawing from classical repertoire, beloved traditional melodies, popular songs, and film scores. Whether the moment calls for something serene and ceremonial or warm and celebratory, Joshua adapts to serve your event — not the other way around.

About

Joshua Song is a New York City-based violinist currently studying at the Juilliard-Columbia exchange program under Professor Joseph Lin. He began his training at age 3 at the School for Strings and has since performed as a soloist with orchestras and trained at prestigious festivals including Meadowmount School of Music.
Known for his warm, expressive playing, Joshua brings the same sincerity and attention to detail to private events that he brings to the concert stage — whether performing at a wedding, a corporate gathering, or an intimate celebration. He is comfortable with a wide range of repertoire and happy to work with clients to create the right musical atmosphere for their occasion.

Additional booking notes

As an acoustic instrument, violin requires no sound system, amplification, or electrical setup. Joshua is self-contained and can perform in virtually any venue or outdoor space without technical support. For larger events or venues where amplification is preferred, this can be arranged with advance notice.

Influences and inspiration

Joshua's playing has been shaped by the great violinists of the 20th century — particularly Jascha Heifetz, Itzhak Perlman, and Hilary Hahn. He is equally inspired by the chamber music tradition, drawing from the interpretive depth of artists like Isaac Stern and the Guarneri Quartet.
