John Carter

With every show I do I try to bring a sense of professionalism and positive energy, so that the audience enjoys the music being played and helps create a fun environment.

Born and raised in Arlington, TX, John Carter began playing guitar in his High School jazz band and local churches. After graduating High School, he attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah to study Jazz and Composition. While there he studied and performed with several critically acclaimed musicians including Carl Allen (Freddie Hubbard, Julliard School), Rich Dixon ( The Osmonds), Ben Wolfe (Harry Connick jr. Wynton Marsalis), and Dr. Trent Hanna (Composer). He also worked in several jazz combos, cover bands, and productions paying tribute to the music of The Beatles, James Bond films, and Duke Ellington. He also opened for famous guitarist John Scofield with his own group. After returning to Texas, John has worked around the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a multi-instrumentalist for various churches, several Jazz big bands, and even worked with the Texas Christian University Jazz Orchestra where he played with 15 time grammy award winning artist Paquito D'rivera (Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval).

He currently lives in Arlington, Texas.
