About
Jodi Stapler is a vocalist and songwriter whose artistry flows through the timeless traditions of jazz, classic blues, and blues rock, weaving them into a sound that is both fresh and deeply rooted. With a career spanning decades of exploration, Jodi has shaped her craft through constant reinvention, finding her place as a fearless, authentic artist ready to share her true voice with the world.
From smoky jazz ballads and swing standards to raw, soul-driven blues and the electrifying pulse of rock, Jodi has long been drawn to music that balances vulnerability with strength. Her voice, both powerful and nuanced, carries the richness of lived experience, transforming each song into an intimate story.
Raised on the classics and inspired by iconic performers such as Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Peggy Lee, and contemporary artists like Danielle Nicole and Larkin Poe, Jodi found herself captivated by the way music can connect people across genres and generations. This wide palette of influences allowed her to move fluidly between worlds: one night delivering the sultry elegance of a jazz standard, the next unleashing the grit and fire of a blues rocker.
But Jodi’s journey has not been just about performance—it has been about discovery. For years she searched for her musical identity, questioning whether she was “jazz enough,” “blues enough,” or “rock enough.” That period of exploration, though sometimes uncertain, became the crucible that forged her artistry. Today, she embraces all of those influences without hesitation, crafting a seamless blend that reflects her whole self.
Her recordings reflect this evolution. Tracks like Hazel Eyes, Stay Here With Me, and The Sky Knows How I’m Feeling showcase her command of blues emotion, while Smoke and Mirrors, Blue Skies, and Dream a Little Dream highlight her jazz-inspired phrasing and timeless sensibility. With each release, Jodi has pulled listeners deeper into her world, offering both familiar echoes of the past and bold steps into new creative territory.
On stage, Jodi is magnetic. Whether performing with her band Indigo Groove or as a solo artist, she draws audiences into the moment with authenticity and warmth. Her sets move effortlessly from slow-burning blues to swinging jazz and driving rock, unified by her voice and her ability to connect with listeners.
After years of questioning and overthinking, Jodi has reached a place of clarity: she no longer feels the need to define herself within one box. Instead, she celebrates her diversity of style as her greatest strength. By blending the elegant swing of jazz, the soul of classic blues, and the edge of blues rock, she offers audiences a listening experience that is rich, engaging, and true to her own path.
This new chapter is not just about honoring her influences; it is about stepping forward with courage and authenticity. Jodi Stapler is no longer chasing identity—she is living it. And with every performance, she invites listeners to join her in that celebration of music, memory, and emotion.
