J.K. Halvorson

We had a private party for our neighborhood and hired J.K. Halvorson to play and sing for the event. J.K. was a perfect fit for this event and received a number of positive comments around his music from our guests. We had great communication before and during the event, his selection of music was perfect for the setting and he was wonderful to listen to. I would highly recommended J.K. to anyone, he is very talented and we will certainly connect with J.K again for any party/event we have.

During this past summer, (2021) we pulled together a backyard celebration of 25+ people to recognize my wife becoming a US citizen while also celebrating that we had all been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus…The event certainly had all of the necessary ingredients such as COVID-19 protocols, plenty of food, BBQ, desserts, liquid refreshments, a gin bar, etc., to make for a special celebration. ….We also decorated the backyard to look like an authentic German style Bier Garten….all of these things listed above helped to make the entire duration of the party a wonderful experience for all. However the one additional element which brought some “special magic” into the air was the live music performance of J.K. Halvorson. Several weeks prior to our party, My wife and I actual listen to and met J.K. Halvorson at a small coffee house where he was performing. His performance at the coffee house spark an idea to utilize his unique talents as a special “one of a kind” element to our party. I was able to reach out to J.K. To bounce this idea off of him. J.K. Was more then receptive to the idea of doing a private party and also put in several of his own unique thoughts and ideas to help create the exact type of performance we were looking for, (i.e. live music through performing not only cover songs of contemporary singer/songwriter artists but several songs from J.K.’s own personal catalog). By design, the real beauty of J.K.’s effort during the celebration was the music never became the center of the event. Most importantly J.K.’s easy style of performance allowed the guests to enjoy a classic Colorado summer late afternoon/night with great friends, good food, wonderful conversation, a lot of laughs and wonderful live music. To person all of our guests commented during and after the event that the music J.K. Provided during the party really helped to make the event very special and a super memory for them that will last a life time…… Thanks J.K. For all your efforts to help make our summer celebration so special and I certainly look forward to reconnecting with you for another similar event somewhere down the road while watching your career continue to expand and grow!!!

We absolutely love working with JK! His music is easy listening and our cigar lounge regulars love the atmosphere he creates. He is communicative, easy to work with, and absolutely talented. Highly reccomend!!!!

JK has played our smallish cidery venue a few times and the crowd loved him. Through our connections he was hired for a private event and killed that too. He plays rock classics with a little heartland soul and pop thrown in.
