Overview

Jimmy Clare is an autistic keynote speaker and founder of CrazyFitnessGuy, an autistic-led healthy living brand for autistic and neurodivergent adults who are tired of “go hard or go home” fitness culture. He combines his lived experience with practical, sensory-friendly tools so audiences feel seen, not broken, and leave with tiny, realistic steps they can actually use in daily life. His talks are direct, honest, and conversational, with a bit of sarcasm toward toxic wellness trends, and he helps event planners create programs where neurodivergent attendees feel respected, included, and supported long after the event is over.

Why Autism Does Not Need To Be Cured

Numerous charities raise money to support the Autism community. This support includes funding: for research to identify the cause of ASD; to promote advocacy efforts to ensure that needs of individuals on the spectrum are met; for programs to educate and enrich the lives of those who are on the spectrum. Some charities raise money to pursue a cure for autism. While I can see the value in knowing what causes ASD; and I definitely can see the necessity for programming to educate and enrich the lives of those with ASD; I do not really think that money spent looking for a cure for ASD is well spent. Why does Autism need to be cured?

What It Was Like Growing Up With Autism

Picture me years ago: I was shy, unconfident, and only able to talk to my close group of friends who knew me well. Fast forward to today: having gone through nine ear surgeries, endured eight years of bullying, and learned to live safely with spinal stenosis and to accommodate chronic tinnitus, I am an entrepreneur and developing a public speaking career. I am also Autistic. My persistence and my compassion for other people are responsible for where I am today.

How To Succeed In College (And Life) With Autism

Being Autistic impacts an individual’s life in many ways. Routine activities, such as running errands and going to school, and social interactions, are filled with challenges for the individual diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

About

Jimmy Clare has spent most of his life being misunderstood before he was ever heard—and he has turned that experience into his life’s work. As an autistic motivational speaker, founder of CrazyFitnessGuy, and host of The CrazyFitnessGuy Show, he helps audiences rethink what they believe about autism, health, and “normal.” People have called him everything from “too much” to “too quiet,” and yes—more than once, he’s been asked if he’s “from another planet.” That’s where his keynote, “I’m Not an Alien, I’m Simply Autistic,” was born. He often jokes that some people expect Matt Damon from The Martian to walk on stage, but instead they get a real human being who has battled bullying, chronic pain, anxiety, and isolation—and is still standing, still smiling, and still showing up.

In his talks, Jimmy doesn’t ask audiences to feel sorry for autistic people; he invites them to see autistic individuals—and themselves—through a more accurate, more human lens. He shows leaders, educators, and teams how to move beyond awareness into action: clearer communication, more inclusive environments, and practical ways to support neurodivergent people at work, at school, and in the community. Through honest stories, a bit of sarcasm, and lessons learned building the CrazyFitnessGuy brand and The CrazyFitnessGuy Show, he demonstrates that autism isn’t a deficit—it’s a different operating system that can bring creativity, resilience, and fresh problem‑solving to any room that’s willing to make space for it.

Additional booking notes

Jimmy Clare is an autistic keynote speaker and podcast host who keeps his events simple, accessible, and sensory-friendly for autistic and neurodivergent audiences. He is not a “go hard or go home” drill sergeant; his style is conversational, honest, and focused on tiny, realistic steps people can actually use after the event.

For audio, Jimmy requires one handheld wireless microphone or a quality lapel (lav) mic and a clear sound system that fits the room size without being blasting loud. If the event includes a Q&A portion, an additional handheld wireless mic for audience questions is helpful but not required.

For visuals, Jimmy can use slides when requested and will provide them in advance as a standard PowerPoint or PDF. He does best with a confidence monitor or a way to see his slides from the stage, and he asks that there be no rapidly flashing or strobe lighting on or near the stage area.

For stage and room setup, Jimmy prefers a simple setup: one chair or stool on stage (optional) and space to move a little while speaking. A podium is optional; if one is used, he prefers that the microphone not be fixed to the podium so he can move naturally and connect with the audience.

Because Jimmy is autistic, sensory and accessibility considerations matter. He appreciates a brief, quiet space nearby before and after his talk to manage sensory overload and decompress. If the event offers sensory tools (earplugs, a quiet room, fidgets), Jimmy is happy to mention them from the stage so autistic and neurodivergent attendees know they are welcome to use them.

In terms of timing and format, Jimmy can adapt his talks to keynotes, shorter sessions, or Q&A-style conversations, as agreed upon in advance. He requests final timing, tech contact information, and the run-of-show at least one week before the event so he can prepare and make sure everything runs smoothly for both the planner and the audience.
