I arrive to a venue early to check out the space, set up and problem solve if necessary.
I bring my own gear and play through a 400 watt system. (good for any pub sized environment).
Although I have numerous setlists that include Acoustic Rock, favourites, sing-a-longs, some country, I can talk with you about what you want to hear and cater the performance to meet your needs.
In addition to above mentioned genres I play Celtic and East Coast as well as a full three hour all acoustic Tragically Hip show.
Jim finds pleasure these days rekindling audiences' associations with favourite songs pubs, restaurants, patios and parties in and around the London area with his acoustic covers. Acoustic rock, favourites, sing a longs and a bit of country is what you can get. The 90's is his favourite genre to rock out to, but you can tell him what you want to hear since his repertoire is massive and is able to take requests. As a solo artist he thrives on audience connections and is a believer in the power and overall comfort music can bring.
At the age of 50 Jim has many years of performance experience in his history. Causal and cool, Jim is a pro when it comes to performance, presentation and professionalism. Bringing his own gear, he arrives early to check out the space, touch base, set up and problem solve if necessary.
Born and raised a Maritimer, Jim Overboard calls Ontario home these days. Jim’s original music is from the heart with melodic acoustically percussive stories inspired by nature, Canada and the folks he has met on the way. Back in the day he has shared a stage with East Coast biggies like Great Big Sea, Ashley MacIssac and Celtic forces such as The Mahones. Jim is connected with the Irish and Celtic community in London and performs as the frontman of Paddy Murphy’s Ghost.
I play through a 400 watt system (good for a pub sized environment or outdoor event). Any larger space I would require a larger set up provided. All I need is an electrical outlet.
I have two small portable stage lights I use to create ambiance and mood.
