Unique takes on all types of covers ranging from standards to classic rock and current rock/pop/blues selections. Mix in great original music and you will provide an eclectic and entertaining soundtrack to any event. I use vocal harmonizer, looping, effects, foot percussion and stage lighting to enhance the performance. I have a small PA which can accommodate most indoor and backyard events.

June 20, 2022Having Jim Marcotte at my son’s 50th bday party was a surprise gift. I must say that it was a great gift!!! Jim is not only a great performer, he is such a nice person! Every song he played everyone loved and he took requests too. He even allowed my son to sing while he played! How extra special is that? I would definitely give him more than 5 stars!!! I highly recommend him!!

Jim was really engaging, especially when he started playing his originals. Our guests had a fabulous time listening to his music and the evening was perfect. August 30, 2021Jim was electric playing at our backyard end-of-summer party. Not only was his music on point, he was kind, organized, prompt, and very gracious - the crowd loved him. I will jump at the chance to have Jim come back and play. Highly recommend.

I can play up to four hours of distinct cover and original music. My library of music consists of artists from Elvis, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, James Taylor, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Rolling Stones to Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Sheryl Crow. I employ a vocal harmonizer and foot percussion to enhance the listener experience. I respect my clients time by being prudent and non-intrusive. Self contained PA if needed.

After a lifetime of music since the tender age of 12, Jim has played in an array of venues with several different bands and on his own in the 1980's and 1990's in the Southern California area.
Jim moved from L.A. to Seattle in 2010 where he has found a whole new world of musical experiences, venues, and artists to play with including his current band, The Breakthrough who rounds out Jim's original music taking into both acoustic and full electric soundscapes.
