Hi. I'm Jewel, an LA based live event artist.

In middle school I had a pencil case as large as my backpack filled with real ink pens (a rarity for a 13 year old), markers, and sparkly gel pens imported from Korea. I would color code all my class notes (the pink always had to go with green, duh!) and doodle my classmates on Pre-algebra worksheets. Honestly, to a girl from Korea who moved to America not knowing any English, seeing the world through art was only natural.

Fast forward to New York where I studied visual art and art history at Columbia University. Now back in LA and with over 10 years of experience as an artist, I've worked creatively with names like Apple, Warner Bros, Fwee, Etude House, Havyn, and more and helped dozens of private parties and weddings become infinitely more memorable.

Some fun facts while I've got you...

• After anything artmaking, my second favorite activity is traveling. Most recent destination: Sydney, Australia!
• I speak Korean and Japanese fluently. The former is my mother tongue, while the latter I got from growing up in Torrance, California, which has the largest Japanese American population in all of U.S.
• I love any sort of beverages. When I'm working at home, this is the order: coffee, black tea, green tea, white tea, rooibos. Sometimes I'll even throw in an afternoon matcha!
• I have an unhealthy amount of love for dogs. I used to be a mother of two, a German Shepherd and a Border Collie. Now I'm the fun auntie to all my friends' fur babies!
