Jessamyn Orchard
Overview
Jessamyn Orchard's deep, lyrically-based singer/songwriter acoustic musical style spans both traditional genres and labels.
Ed Peaco from the Springfield News-Leader noted, "[Orchard] considers herself a country artist [sic] but lacking twang in music or voice. Her stage presence suggests folk [sic], but she adds pinches of rap and emo. So she chooses alt-folk as a congenial space."
Jessamyn has appeared on the television programs MOstly Music and the Emmy-award-winning program The Mystery Hour. She has been a featured performer at the Greater Ozark's Pride Festival, Farmers Market of the Ozarks, the prestigious Hotel Vandivort, and plays music regularly around the Ozarks region.

May 12, 2018Perfect Wedding Musician!
Jessamyn played guitar/sang for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and she was incredible! Her voice and guitar skills are out of this world and she communicated with us to make sure that everything was perfect! She pours herself into her work and will not rest until every song requested is exactly how you want it. Jessamyn is talented, professional, and goes the extra mile to make sure you’re happy. Thank you Jessamyn!

January 25, 2017Fresh and evolving
I've seen Jessamyn play several times. Her skills are constantly evolving and yet she maintains a definite sense of style. Her music is a blend of mellow lyrics and smooth guitar melodies delivered with a an emotionally raw and real voice. The sound is unmistakable. I've yet to see an audience that didn't enjoy her attitude and aura.

January 23, 2017Five out of five; Fantastic performer!
Jessamyn is an incredible talent and is so much fun to watch! She has a way with words and melody that will leave you singing her songs days after the show. A very intelligent person with a lot to say, who creates engaging stories through her music. Anytime she is playing a show, you can count on seeing me in the crowd.

What to expect
An audience member or client should expect to have a fun and relaxed aural environment created during my sets. My songbook is large enough that I can read a crowd, I feed off of a great crowd who enjoys what they're taking in, and I like to cater to my audience.
I am quiet and focused in my equipment setup and tear down process. I require very little time for setup and sound check, and my sets range anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour each (depending on the total gig time). I am a passionate performer, I am honest and straight across, and I love sharing my poetry with an audience.
About
I am a female singer/songer who has been actively playing music since I was ten years old, when I was introduced to piano. I picked up the guitar when I was in high school, and have played consistently since then. I have been a writer since before I can even remember, so the two naturally went together when I started writing my own songs around the age of 15. College brought me to love playing coffee houses and living room parties, spreading my indie-blues style in intimate settings where real musical expressions and conversations were taking place.
My style has been compared to Norah Jones, Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, and Sheryl Crow. Chill.
I am a professional musician with up to 4 hours of prepared music including both a wide span of acoustic cover tunes, as well as many original songs. My covers are interesting and a little off the beaten path. I enjoy taking modern cover tunes and adding an acoustic/blues spin to them, creating an interesting sound.
As far as equipment, I have my own QSC K8 PA system, Shure SM 58 microphone, Behringer 8-channel mixing board, and I accompany many of my songs with a Pearl kick drum.
