Eclectic solo variety acoustic guitarist/vocalist with ukulele, banjolele, harmonica. I use a loop machine as well as rhythm machine backup for more of a band feel! From quiet, background dinner to upbeat and dance-able, I can create just the atmosphere you are looking for, with careful attention to volume. In addition to original compositions, I cover a wide range of music from every era and genre, including Standards from early 1900's, 1950's - 70's Classic/Psychedelic/Folk/Pop Rock, Classic Country (not recent Pop Country), R&B, and 80's New Wave. I play lots of songs that you will recognize as your favorites, and that you don't hear everyone else covering!

I grew up in Asheboro, North Carolina, and have been playing acoustic guitar over 50 years. I have accumulated a very eclectic repertoire of songs, largely from the 1960's - 1980's (classic rock / psychedelic rock / British Invasion), from one hit wonders to deep cuts, I play a lot of songs that aren't covered often. I do more than just strum, and incorporate what is known as "fingerstyle", which gives my interpretation of songs more depth and makes them more enjoyable and listenable. I started listening to AM/FM radio in the late early 70's, and was influenced by so many artists from that explosive time period in popular music history. Then I started collecting record albums. My main influences: The Beatles, Chicago, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, The Who, Grateful Dead, Hot Tuna, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Willie Nelson, John Prine, Talking Heads, The Police, ...so many others.
