Jean DePiro

Jean and I initially connected on GS over a shared appreciation for musical theatre and Sara Bareilles. She was willing to incorporate three special music requests into our ceremony (one musical theatre piece and two classical-adjacent pieces that are not part of standard wedding repertoire) and played them beautifully. She also recommended another musician that she had previously worked with; their pairing was perfection and made the day all the more special. Jean was willing to work with a family friend/vocalist for the musical theatre piece and carried off her accompaniment (including transposing the key) with very limited rehearsal time. In addition to ceremony music, Jean underscored the reception by playing a variety of tunes on the venue's piano--the sound carried perfectly throughout the space and the blend of music was delightful. The evening ended with most of our guests (small wedding) gathered around the piano and singing some songs together (including several on-the-fly requests.) Jean was easy-going, level-headed, obviously talented, and my family and I are already brainstorming gatherings we could have in the future where we could benefit from Jean's presence and talent again.

I needed a keyboardist to sub in for one show of my tour. Its a full 2 hour show with specific piano and synth parts. A lot to ask of any musician. Jean met the challenge and performed the show with confidence. The show was a great success.

We couldn't have been more delighted by Jean's pure genius on the piano! She can play it all! We hired her for a Christmas caroling party, but our guests got so into the singing that before we knew it we were belting out Eagles and Billy Joel hits. Jean was absolutely wonderful to work with and we'd love to have her play for us again!

Jean made our daughter's wedding dream come true. The music was played with such professionalism and love. Jean is very easy to work with and was also great in helping us decide the appropriate music for the wedding.

Jean was awesome, we enjoyed a festive Christmas party to her lovely music!
