Over the years we’ve learned that no two events are alike. As such, we customize our program and services to meet the unique desires of the client. Contact us and we can prepare a package that meets your needs.

Every booking starts with a conversation about the mood of your event: background ambiance or front and center, instrumental or vocals, and whether people should end up dancing. Then we build the setlist from a book of hundreds of arrangements, many written for this band, and show up in suits and fedoras with a chart for every tune. We've arranged custom first dances, including a La Vie en Rose where we played live under Louis Armstrong's original vocal, and we've played everything from an unplugged garden wedding to an off-grid vineyard dinner run on marine batteries.

These days you'll find us every Thursday at Goodnight's in Healdsburg and in concert at Varenna at Fountaingrove, along with weddings at places like Triple S Ranch in Calistoga and Madrona Manor in Healdsburg. Over the years we've also played Beringer's summer series, Seghesio's chef dinners, Silver Oak, Twomey, and the Constellation wineries.

Raj Sodhi, acoustic bass and bandleader
Raj leads Jazz Mirage and is your contact from first call to last song. Every booking starts with the mood of your event: background or front and center, instrumental or vocals, and whether people should dance. He builds the setlist around it, and the band shows up in suits and fedoras with a chart for every tune, whether that's a La Vie en Rose first dance played live under Louis Armstrong's original vocal or jazz takes on Bollywood favorites. A bassist since seventh grade, Raj played with the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra through high school and as a senior soloed the Eccles Sonata with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. He switched to jazz for the freedom it gives a band to move an audience, and has studied with bassists Peter Barshay and Jeff Denson. By day he's an engineer and product manager, so clients get organized setlists and timelines well ahead of the date.

Matthew Rothstein, sax, vocals, and music director
Matthew is an accomplished saxophonist, vocalist, arranger, and composer. Raised in rural Lake County, CA, he was recognized by Down Beat Magazine and the Grammy Foundation as a prodigious talent while in high school. Rothstein honed his blend of jazz, folk, and gospel styles into a distinctive voice while attending Sonoma State University, where he studied with renowned composers Mel Graves and Will Johnson. Matthew strives to bring excellence, inspiration, and clarity to every professional context. If you have a creative vision for your event, he can shape the soundtrack.

Samantha Woo, vocals
Samantha studied musical theater at Pace University in New York, training in voice, dance, and acting. She records and releases her own music, and she adds a new song to her book nearly every week at our Goodnight's residency.

Jerome Fleg, alto sax and clarinet
Jerome directs the Santa Rosa Junior College Jazz and Symphonic Big Bands.

Gino Raugi, guitar
Gino spent years playing weddings and classical guitar around Monterey and Santa Cruz, where he also taught at the college level. He now teaches guitar at the Santa Rosa Junior College.

Booking is simple. A deposit holds your date, and the balance is due before the event. Every package includes all instruments, our sound system, mics, stands, and cabling, plus setup and breakdown. We just need an open space near a power outlet, and cover from sun or rain if we're outdoors. If you need to cancel, the deposit is non-refundable, and cancellations within 30 days of the event are due in full. If we ever have to cancel, your deposit is refunded in full. On longer gigs, we appreciate a vendor meal for the band, and we're happy to share any dietary needs ahead of time.
