Experienced smooth jazz and popular music-performing and recording artist offers festive and uplifting piano music for private functions and club dates in the San Diego area. A variety of classical and popular piano music along with familiar tunes are featured to help ensure a successful event. Special requests are solicited and honored.
As an entertainer I know how important it is to set a mood, to facilitate conversation and to elevate your overall experience. My goal is always to provide a seamless, stress-free musical performance that speaks to the heart of your guests. From the first song of the evening to the final encore, every note is designed to ensure a memorable occasion.

About
Trained as a classical pianist, I soon abandoned the printed page and turned to jazz as a medium for self-expression.
As exposure to improvisational jazz developed, my opportunities as a jobbing musician grew apace. For more than 20 years I have performed with combos and 15-piece bands in major US cities.
In 2004, I co-founded along with other technical staff members our independent record label. Backtalk Unlimited. with studios located in San Diego. Our studio supplies post-production music for movie and video projects. In addition, we have produced 18 audio CD/ROM albums, which are featured on music radio broadcasts, in YouTube videos, and in advertising media. Our music CD albums are marketed through online music providers worldwide.

Client provides acoustic piano. Artist can provide an amplified keyboard in the absence of an acoustic piano.

Set list
Client requests for piano accompaniment of individual singers and/or for group sing-along are solicited.
In the event that requests include several songs, it will be helpful if Client will kindly provide a song list in advance of the performance date.

Jazz age influencers include George Gershwin and composers Irving Berlin, Cole Porter age Jerome Kern.
Blues piano influencers include Thomas "Fats" Waller, Mary Lou Williams and Ray Charles.
Mid-20th century composer/performer influencers include Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus and Thelonious Sphere Monk.
Contemporary jazz and new wave music piano performance influencers include Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Marian McPartland, and Herbie Hancock.
Pop music composer/performer influencers include Billy Joel, Barry Manilow.
Neil Diamond, The Beatles and the Rolling Stones along with Broadway Show Tunes composed by Jerome Kern, Marvin Hamlisch and Andrew Lloyd Webber plus songs made popular by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick, Nat King Cole and Johnny Mathis.
