Jayou

Jen DJ'd my birthday party at the Ivy Room in Albany, CA. She did an AMAZING job. I sent her playlists and requests in advance, and also asked her to play what she thought would be popular with the guests. She delivered a perfect mix of songs that kept people on the dance floor and having a great time. Many of my guests afterwards have asked me "where did you find that great DJ?" and requested the playlist.
When the evening was over, and Jen had played the last song, I immediately ran to her, gave her a hug, and told her it was PERFECT because it was.

As someone who works in the event industry, energy and vibe are important. Jayou is the perfect DJ to provide both. She currently holds residency for our community event producing organization, but prior to that , I’ve attended various events that she has performed at over the years to see her work crowds. She can do it well, curate an appropriate set list and with no hiccup in the vibe provided. Jayou has a skillset indicative of someone who cares about the craft, and its effect on your event.

As for music selection, she can work crowds reflective of most demographics, and that means studying different genres of music. When you hire her, you get someone who genuinely curates the vibe required and at the time it’s needed. You will not go wrong with hiring her for this most important aspect of your event.

Jayou is my friend, mentor and mobile gig partner. I’ve had the honor of learning from and working alongside her at numerous gigs. She reads the crowd masterfully, and is great at troubleshooting on the fly, when necessary. Hiring her for any DJ gig is a no-brainer. You will not be disappointed!

We love DJ Jayou. We had the honor of having her for both our wedding and our post wedding brunch the following day. If I could add photos, it would show that nearly all our guests were on the dance floor the entire night! She has the best mixes and incorporates everything you want all while keeping your guests in mind as well. Professional, friendly and will keep the energy high. Will absolutely hire her again for future events.

On the biggest day of our lives, we wanted no other person to DJ our wedding more than Jen. The truth is, we secured our DJ first before our venue and some vendors. That is how important getting Jen was. And when she agreed, we were NOT disappointed! Every single aspect of our reception: cocktail hour, introduction, first dance, money dance, mother/son, father/daughter dances and the party itself was well executed. To this day, our friends and family still rave about what a wonderful job she did. We still have our “money dance mix” she recorded for us during that special day over a decade ago. Every now and again, we would play it (especially on our anniversary) and can’t help be appreciative of Jen in providing the soundtrack to the most important day of our lives.
