April 10, 2022Jay performed for hours at our "Manhattan in Nashville" themed party. She wore a long dress and sang at station and while walking through the party crowd in four adjoining rooms of our house. She was absolutely fantastic singing lounge music, jazz standards, and contemporary with her beautiful sultry voice. She is an ultimate professional and took my three songs for inspiration and put together a wonderful playlist in advance for me to review. We kept it all. Jay showed up on time and delightfully sang to our crowd. She can sing Adele songs with ease, to give you an idea of her range. Our guests commented on her talent all night. She can sing anything. The vibe was perfect. Needless to say, we will use her again when we get a chance and HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!

Jay Rin is a Nashville based Alt. Americana singer-songwriter heavily influenced by 60s/70s rock/country and female alternative artists of the 90s. Vocally she is right up there with the emotive vocal power of Chrissie Hynde, Jewel, Jade Bird, and Lucinda Williams. She likes to call her style of music “Folk on the Fringe”.
Her 2019 folk apocalyptic single 'Dance in the River' got her her first radio play on Nashville's top independent radio station Lightning 100, and her 2021 release of 'Trick or Treat’ was featured on a Halloween segment of WMOT in October of 2022 after the release of her spunky cult-horror-esque music video.
Jay Rin is originally from the city of Whittier in Los Angeles, CA and she got her musical start in her family home where spontaneous jam sessions and singing harmonies in the living room were a regular occurrence belting out Proud Mary, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Rockin’ in the Free World, Hey Jude, American Pie, Long Long Time, Desperado, and many others.
By the age of 18, she had multiple album releases in a southern pop duo Deep Fried Bubblegum with her father Jimmy Becker, 1 solo album, and 300+ solo/duo gigs under her belt from fairs, festivals, charity events, to casinos and restaurants all over California.
In 2013 Jay made the move to Nashville to study commercial vocal performance and music business at Belmont University. In 2015 she backed up the Rolling Stones at LP Field (now Nissan stadium) with the Belmont University ensemble Chorale. During school, she interned with Nashville’s top vocal coaches Janine Le Clair at Music Row Voice and Robin Earl at Gary Earl Productions and later worked with Singdaptive - a premiere personalized online vocal teaching resource for singers after graduating.
Over the years she's developed as a vocalist and entertainer playing private events and gigging across the country and collaborating with multiple top Nashville players and Grammy award winning musicians in multi-media tribute shows and recordings. Can provide P.A. System (1 speaker, 3 microphones, cables, extension cords) for indoor/outdoor venues upon request.
