SEUNGMIN JUNG IS A HIGHLY TALENTED AND VERSATILE BASSIST FROM SEOUL, KOREA. HE EARNED A MASTER'S DEGREE FROM THE MANHATTAN SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND HAS TAKEN LESSONS WITH BUSTER WILLIAMS, JOHN BENITEZ, AND JIN-KYO PARK. SEUNGMIN HAS PLAYED AT VARIOUS VENUES IN KOREA AND THE UNITED STATES, INCLUDING DEVIL’S DOOR AND DIZZYS JAZZ CLUB.
HE HAS TAKEN ENSEMBLE CLASSES WITH MATT HOLEMAN, SCOTT WENDHOLT, JEREMY MANASIA, AND KRIS ROSENBERG.
SEUNGMIN WON SECOND PRIZE AT THE HYUNSIK KIM COMPETITION AND CONTINUES TO EXPLORE NEW TECHNIQUES AND SOUNDS ON HIS DOUBLE BASS.
