About

Jay Frost is an accomplished Washington DC pianist with a focus on jazz and lounge music. In addition to playing solo piano, he has played in community theater productions, led his own jazz trio, and performs frequently with his wife, vocalist Tessa Frost.

Jay has been playing the piano since he was about nine years old and started accompanying fellow students in talent shows in high school, and was soon accompanying the swing choir and theater programs.

In college he took some music courses, played in an Italian restaurant for a few semesters and started gigging with a Classic Rock cover band where he remained for over a year.

His discography includes an instrumental album called Save It for a Rainy Day (2005) and an inspirational album called Soulshine (2012), both of which are comprised of original compositions.

Moving to DC from Seattle in 2012, Jay continues to perform as a pianist for hire at many different types of venues, teach piano and music theory, and host house concerts, while composing and producing inspirational music with his wife and performing for church services and events around the country.

Additional booking notes

If the venue doesn't have a piano, I'm happy to bring my portable stage piano and speaker setup for an additional $40.
