Janelle has worked in some of the best hotels in Los Angeles, including "The Beverly Hills Hotel" and " The Four Seasons Beverly Hills." Since moving back to Florida, she has been entertaining in places like Innisbrook Golf Resort, TradeWinds Resorts and Eddie V's in Tampa. She is fully insured for liability and can work most corporate locations.
She understands the intense planning that goes into large and small events and the need for the music to flow as seamlessly as possible. You might find her elegantly singing swingin' jazz / pop with her quartet or playing solo guitar during cocktails and dinner. She can work in band configurations up to 6 people later in the night to get people up and dancing. Working within your budget, Janelle can help you to find a good musical fit for your party's needs.
She also understands the need to work closely with catering timelines and volume issues to ensure the music compliments a lovely evening for your guests.

Janelle grew up in the Tampa Bay area and as a teen began to sing for tourists in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater beach clubs. She worked her way up in the local jazz and rock scenes, and after winning the coveted local award "Best Vocalist Tampa Bay" (Jammies) two years in a row, she was thrilled to be offered Donny Osmond's backup singer position for his "Soldier Of Love" tour. Soon it was time to move to Los Angeles to try her luck.
LA was a tough learning ground, but good to her and she worked steadily performing in live shows, studio sessions, world tours and TV appearances for 23 years. She has appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and many others.
She met her wonderfully talented husband (singer / keyboardist) Robin Swenson and spent much time on the road working with Natalie Cole, as well as John Phillip's new version of "The Mamas And The Papas."
In 2010, Janelle was featured as a lead singer in one of three competing rock bands on VH1's 5 episode reality show, "Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp." Her band wound up winning the finale's battle of the bands. The show featured such legends as Kip Winger, Rudy Sarzo and Mark Hudson and gave her a chance to grow under their sage advice.
She has recorded lead vocals on a CD for bassist Chuck Rainey, who is known for his work with Steely Dan and Aretha Franklin, and also on demo tunes for songwriter Dan Hill. One of the tunes she sang on was recorded by Celine Dion. ("Seduces Me")
Recently Janelle and Robin decided to move back to the Tampa Bay area to enjoy a more relaxed life away from the traffic and hustle of Los Angeles.
They both now appear in various musical configurations all around the state and are having a fantastic time! "It's good to be back. I love to sing. It's all I've ever done."

Set up includes stage lighting and sound. For solo/duo configuration, it takes about 30-45 mins. Full band up to 1 hour.
Solo configuration can use minimum of two 110 outlets.
Full band stage plot 10x16.
Solo stage plot 4x8 or as little as 6x4.
If playing outside, cover is required to protect the equipment from heat/rain.
