James Neil Wood Comedy

You can expect a professional but warm and friendly comedian who shows up early. I love to perform and pride myself on working with every audience. Also, I have all the equipment to make a comedy club experience in your backyard or local event space, if needed.

James Neil Wood is a Philadelphia-based comedian who is a regular at the Atlantic City Comedy Club in the Tropicana Atlantic City and was a Finalist in the 2025 Wisecrackers Comedy Contest. He has also been featured at Punchline Philly Comedy Club's All-Star Showcases & Helium Comedy Club's 7-for-7 Showcase.

James’s entire family calls him by his middle name, Neil, which is confusing and should be corrected any day now. Originally from a blueberry farming town in Southern New Jersey. He has two older sisters, a single mother, and anywhere from four to seventeen Aunts, depending on the holiday. He grew up shopping at and playing paintball behind the Goodwill and being a giant goofball.
Neil’s two favorite things are comedy and visual art. He started standup after college in Philadelphia while working as a Graphics Designer and later as a Creative Director. Neil has been lucky to travel and perform on shows in California, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Atlanta, and Savannah.

I have produced monthly shows throughout PA & NJ since 2019 as well as working on professional production in studios and on-location. My equipment includes: a travel-sized stage, professional lighting, amplification, sound board, and stands. Seating must be provided by the venue.
