Overview
For a long time, James specialized in the American songbook. After some success, and since returning to the East Coast, James has begun broadening his repertoire by adding more and more R&B tunes. The purpose is simple, James wants to bridge the gap from old to new, and back again.

Starting with Frank Sinatra, Joe Williams, Sammy Davis, Jr., Oscar Brown, Jr., Lou Rawls, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Shirley Bassey, Diane Schuur, and Nancy Wilson, and many more.
I was born into Gospel, weaned on R&B, and learned Blues while learning the American Songbook.
