My name is Jotham Billy (20) and I am a drummer whose service is filling in the drumming position of a presentation of music. Whether it’s a church who needs a drummer for Sunday morning service, or a band doing a gig and their main drummer can’t make it. I can fill in for multiple genres, (I’m willing to take gigs further than 90 miles away if travel expenses are paid for) Rock, Rap, R&B, and some basic level jazz. I have experience playing live with church bands, and in ears, so using in ears won’t be a problem for me. I can play comfortably in 4/4, and 3/4 but I can learn songs that aren’t in those signatures. I can provide my drum set if needed. Look forward to playing with you!

You can expect me to be early and set up before we practice the set or play on stage. I will always match the energy of the event or the band. If we’re super hype or loud then you can bet I’ll hit a little harder and have more energy behind the set. But if the setting is more relaxed then expect me to be relaxed with the atmosphere. I will dress for the occasion. If there is a dress code I will be within those boundaries. Even if there isn’t one, I going to come dressed appropriately and in a way that allows me to perform comfortably and confidently. I will always be willing to adjust if needed. If the set order is changed, or if we start at a different time, etc. There’s only so much that can be planned so if something is a last minute change I’ll quickly adjust what I need to do to meet the requirements of the performance. I’m a little talkative. I’m not too extroverted or introverted. I’m in the middle. I’ll be happy to talk with the other band mates just to get a better idea of what we’ll be doing during the performance and just so we’re all comfortable playing together. I’m easy going and along for the ride so whatever needs to be done for a great performance, (if I can do it) I will!
My name is Jotham Billy and I live in Memphis TN. I have been playing the drums for 10 years, and I am 18. I am a Christian and have been one for 4 years. I play drums for our church band at Bellevue Baptist Church. It’s a separate band where they teach us how to be worship leaders and play for the song and in front of a large audience. I have a YouTube channel where I do drum covers and other drum content. It’s titled “Jotham Billy.” There you can see my drumming experience and skill level so you know what you’re getting before you commit to me as your drummer. The genres I play are jazz, rock, metal, pop, funk, Contemporary Christian, R&B, etc. I am not very experienced in reading drum music. I can read simple charts but I learn songs better by ear and by playing along to them. If you’re wondering, I am able to bring my own drum equipment if necessary. I don’t have any mics but I can provide my drum set if need be. Overall I’m just really excited to start playing drums with other musicians and get more musical experience. Can’t wait to jam with you!
All I need to know is where I need to be, what time, and the songs were playing. All I have with me is my drum set, extra sticks, a drum key, in ears, and that’s about it. There’s not much technicality to my setup 😂

I can really learn any amount of songs as long as I have the time to practice them. As an example, the shortest time length I’ve had to learn 4 songs were 3 days. And they were all songs I’d never heard before. So as long as I have the time, I will learn the song. Also, incase this wasn’t already clear, I am a drummer seeking to fill the drumming role for a band for a presentation of music. I myself am not a full on musical “act.” Just wanted to clarify incase there was any confusion.
Some of my influences are, Snarky Puppy, Larnell Lewis, and Greyson Nekrutman. Those are the only musicians I’m into.
