I'm an 18 year old artist from Huntington Beach, CA but currently residing in Riverside for college. I play drums, guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass but prefer to just play guitar and sing for solo shows. An audience member can expect an interactive fun show no matter what the setting. In smaller more intimate settings, I enjoy playing laid-back acoustic renditions of many different songs and for large shows one can expect a fun, high energy engaging time with catchy tunes and an outstanding band. I always love to meet people after and hang out with people that enjoy my music.
Hey! My name is Jake Roque and I am a singer/songwriter that was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. Sports, the beach, music and Jesus all played huge role in my upbringing. My musical influences and inspirations come from many different artists: (in no particular order) Ed Sheeran, Bryce Avary, Tyler Ward, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Tenth Avenue North and many others. I play a variety of instruments and am a fairly versatile musician.
In regards to shows, typically when I am performing alone I play my taylor acoustic guitar and sing a mix of original and cover songs (I take song suggestions). Coffeeshops, house parties, churches, concert venues I am always up for a live acoustic show in just about any setting. However, for larger concerts at bigger venues I like to work with talented and experienced friends I have from my university or other connections to put on a full band, high energy live performance. As far as prices go I am very flexible as long as they are considerate of travel expenses and the number of people coming with me (if a band is requested). Excited to play a show for you!
Know live sound engineers and lighting people for hire. For places with sound systems I can direct box into the system and use a mic at the venue.
